Call for Presentations

April 14 - 16, 2021


The ASHE Region 6 Education Committee would like to encourage you to submit an abstract to help define the breakout sessions for the 2021 ASHE Region 6 Virtual Conference that will be held April 14-16, 2021. More details surrounding the virtual conference will be communicated soon, so check back here for more information.

Collaboration and sharing is at the heart of any successful education program. With that in mind, ASHE Region like to encourage you to present a breakout session at the upcoming Virtual Conference. Presenting a breakout session at the Annual Conference provides you with an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge, experience, and outcomes with other interested facility managers, technicians, and healthcare contractors.

The breakout sessions allow for a more in-depth review and presentation of specific focus areas.

Suggested topics for abstracts include, but are not limited to:

  • Sustainability/Energy Conservation

  • Energy Conservation Planning for Board/Organization Approval

  • Organization/ Operations Development (How We Deal with Maintaining the Healthcare Environment, Contractors, Patients, Etc.)

  • Managing Your Leadership Team (How to Help them Communicate with C-Suite Leaders)

  • Growing the Next Leaders of Your Organization

  • Sustainability- How does this effect construction plans?

  • ILSM- Keeping All Teams Accountable

  • Safety on the Jobsite (Maintain Control of Vendors, Contractors and Patients)

  • Anti-Ligature Risk Assessment

  • Code Updates: (NFPA, FGI, Joint Commission, Interim Life Safety Measures)

  • Case Studies

  • PDC Track

  • Reliability Centered Maintenance

  • Infection Prevention (Water Management)

  • Talent Management

  • Workforce Management

  • Succession Planning

  • Energy Management

  • Security and Safety (Locking and Access Control)

  • USP Standards 797/800

Breakout sessions will be between 45 minutes to 50 in length. Please make sure to leave room for a few minutes of Q&A.
You may present individually or as a group. Submissions submitted through February 3, 2021.

Call for presentations form is now closed. The committee is currently reviewing the submissions and notifications will be going out Late February/Early March.
